Twenty years ago, this place was a great place. As I local, I would ride the trails every day. Now, I avoid the place at all costs. The river bed is over run and crowded with motor homes on the weekends. Gun shots, trash, police and idiots fill the banks now. We used to just go further than the city kids could to get away, but, they got braver and go further out. So, I just stay away while the idiots visit. Too much growth out there was a nice get away close to town now not so much Easy place to ride, mud sand and forest riding all in one place. It can get crowded and other riders cam be running to fast. Good easy spot to ride though One of my favorite places for 4-wheelering. Very busy on the summer weekends. Tons of trails to explore. Large public parking lot for off loading and loading your machines with new bathrooms open in the summer time. Please be careful and courteous of other riders. You will encounter all skill levels from first timers to advanced racers. The trail that goes off the "left" of the parking lot and runs along the gravel pit is a very easy ride for first timers. Be aware that the gravel pit is private property. If you get all the way to the glacier watch out for moose. They love to hang out along the river. Very open and a great place to ride ATV and fish.
