We LOVE the staff here. They are so professional, catering and smart. They provide excellent care and clearly explain everything in addition to taking adequate time for questions. Our fur baby loves them and they have squeezed us in in emergencies helping relax a stressful situation. I cannot speak more highly of them. They could not locate my dog's vaccination records, an proceeded to tell me that I need a rabies vaccine, parvo, and distemper as I was 4 years out of date. I had to show them the current rabies tag to be taken seriously. The demeanor of the front desk was distracted and rude. I chalked it up to a busy day for everyone, but when I returned three days later for an exam, I was treated rudely again, and the doctor was nothing like Dr Ron who has now retired. I gave her the opportunity to confirm that my dogs condition was a repeat of a previous problem, but she did not even look back into his history!!! Inexperienced, expensive, poor customer service, and a dog with bleeding areas that were "examined"!!! Save yourself the frustration and disappointment, go to another veterinary clinic!!!! I will only return to pick up a paper copy of my dogs complete history under Dr. Ron, and then find a different clinic myself. When my long time Anchorage vet couldn't 'see' my moose injured dog for several days the docs and Palmer Vet got him right in. They have been my "Go To" vet every since. I love the affordable and sensitive care all my critters receive here. They make the drive worth it. I took my dog in have her nose scoped and I had dropped her off at 8:30 am. I called to check on her to see how she was doing, how every furry parent should, and the receptionist said that she had not gone in for surgery, at this time it was 12:00 pm. I was then asked if I wanted my dogs teeth to be pulled, my dog is 4 years old and has yet to have teeth problems. The next time I called was at 2:30 and she had still not gone to surgery yet. During this time the receptionist still was unable to tell me just how she was doing and if everything was okay. At 4:30 I called again and they told me that she was done and that I could pick her up at 5:30 pm. During this time the receptionist said, when I asked how she was AGAIN, " That she just worked up front and didn't go back there and didn't know". When I arrived to pick her up they brought her out and lined up medications for her to take and STILL had yet to tell me what was wrong with my dog. When she asked if I wanted to talk to the veterinarian she spent more time helping someone else before I could get answers. As you can imagine this was very stressful, as our dogs are family members and loved so much. The service I received today was uncaring, at times rude, and not a place that I will be taking my animals back to. They are the most caring staff you could ever encounter. We currently drive over 20 miles to take our animals to Palmer Vet.
