Our best lodging in Alaska. Cabin is cosy, quiet, with a nice garden, very well equipped kitchen, best tub ever, barbecue, and all this at a reasonnable price for Alaska. We stayed at caribou Cabins for one night last summer and it was great, the place is nice and cozy. Second time to Alaska, second time at Caribou Cabins and we couldn't be more pleased! Wether it is summer or winter, these cabins will keep you comfortable and make you feel at home. The fully equipped "mini" kitchen has been key to enjoying our home-cooked meals (pilaf rice and reindeer sausage & fried halibut with rice and veggies), the bed is one of the more comfortable beds I have slept on which has given me a good nights rest, and the jaccuzzi tub has been a joy indeed. The owner is wonderful and keeps the cabins kept with care. This is the place to stay! About 45 min to an hour from Anchorage, but gives you a chance to travel and explore a bit more north and east than you would had you stayed in the city.
